The Froussards Trail explores the wild and undeveloped northern coastline of French Saint Martin. Starting near Anse Marcel, the route crosses dry tropical forest, rocky hills and exposed coastal terrain before reaching the secluded white sand of Petites Cayes.
Expect narrow paths, loose stones and several steep climbs, rewarded with open views across the Atlantic Ocean and the island’s rugged coastline. Parts of the trail offer very little shade, so start early and carry plenty of water. Strong footwear is recommended, especially for the rocky descents.
The complete route toward Grandes Cayes is approximately 4.5 kilometres and takes around 2.5 hours, depending on conditions and your chosen return route. Remote beaches and untouched scenery make this one of Saint Martin’s most adventurous coastal hikes.
